If you can get past that, it falls to complete mush when cooking and looks most unattractive. Oh, and it is incredibly sour and acidic. But, it's delicious!! I have been eating it every day for weeks now, mostly stewed with sugar and served over yogurt. Do try some!
:)Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10273294553240391802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4746759345944336164.post-43376625116088609932010-05-18T18:24:57.683-04:002010-05-18T18:24:57.683-04:00great job this week! your post cracked me up, lolgreat job this week! your post cracked me up, lolTiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17079250994113691796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4746759345944336164.post-14830576743429213922010-05-18T16:31:31.593-04:002010-05-18T16:31:31.593-04:00@Criollobylisa: OOOOOOOHHHHH! Hopefully yours will come out well!

@Romaine: YES POTATO SALAD. That's a perfect analogy! You never know what people will serve you in the guise of "potato salad" and anything unlike what you grew up eating as potato salad will always be wrong (even if it's tasty).

@Mary: I think I like the "bread" part more than the "pudding" part!

@Valerie and chocolatechic: thank you! Don't you hate it when that happens? Or maybe it only happens to me...miss katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16929031833065435746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4746759345944336164.post-18150543251118699192010-05-18T16:03:01.354-04:002010-05-18T16:03:01.354-04:00The paper towels are supposed to hold the dish in ...The paper towels are supposed to hold the dish in place so it doesn't go sliding around once you add the water. It's right up there with meatloaf and potato salad. Seems to me that bread pudding is a little unpredictable in outcome even if you know your recipe because of differences in bread "staleness" and density as you so eloquently describe.Paulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15248294576456258116noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4746759345944336164.post-65207033525988370512010-05-18T00:08:51.853-04:002010-05-18T00:08:51.853-04:00For something with the curds of death, it looks de...For something with the curds of death, it looks delicious!
